Job Overview:
Uber is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Quality Specialist to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality across our products and services by developing, implementing, and managing quality assurance processes and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes, procedures, and systems to ensure the highest level of quality across Uber's products and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and customer support, to identify and address quality issues and implement improvements
- Conduct root cause analysis, identify trends, and develop corrective and preventive actions to continuously improve product quality and customer satisfaction
- Monitor, analyze, and report on quality metrics, providing data-driven insights and recommendations to stakeholders
- Lead and participate in quality audits, assessments, and inspections, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards and regulations
- Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement within the organization
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to quality assurance and management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality management, preferably in a technology or software development environment
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean, ISO 9001)
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with remote teams
- Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
- Experience with agile development methodologies and software quality assurance tools is a plus
