Job Overview:

Starbucks is seeking a highly motivated and experienced part-time Senior Software Engineer to join our Digital Platform team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions that enable Starbucks' digital platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a passion for building innovative and impactful products.

Responsibilities:

Design and develop software solutions that enable Starbucks' digital platforms, using the latest technologies and development methodologies
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance, to define and execute technical strategies
Develop and maintain best practices for software development, testing, and deployment
Participate in code reviews and provide technical feedback to team members
Continuously evaluate and improve software solutions, incorporating emerging trends and technologies as appropriate

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on developing scalable and reliable solutions
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and best practices, with experience in agile and continuous delivery environments
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Experience with backend technologies such as Java, Node.js, or Go
Ability to work effectively in a part-time capacity, with a flexible schedule
