Job Overview:

Facebook is seeking a motivated and talented Network Engineer intern to join our Wireless Connectivity Deployment team. In this role, you will support the planning, design, and implementation of wireless connectivity solutions for Facebook's global network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in network engineering, wireless technologies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the design, planning, and deployment of wireless connectivity solutions, including Wi-Fi and cellular technologies, to support Facebook's global network infrastructure
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including network architecture, engineering, and operations, to develop and implement best practices for wireless connectivity deployment
Support the evaluation and selection of wireless equipment, vendors, and technologies, ensuring optimal performance, cost-effectiveness, and scalability
Participate in the testing, troubleshooting, and optimization of wireless connectivity solutions to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance
Assist in the documentation of network designs, configurations, and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

Requirements:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field with a focus on networking or wireless technologies
Strong interest in network engineering and wireless connectivity solutions
Knowledge of wireless networking standards, protocols, and technologies, such as Wi-Fi, LTE, or 5G is a plus
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
