Job Overview:

Facebook is seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our AR/VR Interactive Experiences team for a 6-month contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing immersive and engaging interactive experiences for Facebook's augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, a passion for AR/VR technologies, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Contract Duration: 6 months

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and implement immersive and engaging AR/VR interactive experiences, leveraging cutting-edge technologies and frameworks
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, design, and engineering, to define requirements, create prototypes, and deliver high-quality AR/VR applications
Optimize application performance, ensuring high frame rates, low latency, and efficient resource usage across a variety of devices and platforms
Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to AR/VR software development, incorporating new techniques and tools into your work as appropriate
Support the documentation of software designs, code, and procedures, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
3+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on AR/VR or game development
Proficiency in programming languages, such as C++, C#, or Java, and experience with AR/VR development frameworks, such as Unity or Unreal Engine
Strong knowledge of computer graphics, rendering techniques, and performance optimization for AR/VR applications
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
