Job Overview:

Uber is seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Product Design Architect to lead and inspire our product design team. The Senior Product Design Architect will be responsible for designing and developing user-centered, cutting-edge digital products that enhance the user experience across all of Uber's platforms. This role requires a strong background in design thinking, problem-solving, and leadership, as well as the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities:

Lead and mentor a team of product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and direction to ensure the highest quality of work
Define and implement a comprehensive design strategy for Uber's digital products, ensuring consistency and cohesiveness across all platforms
Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to conceptualize, design, and prototype new features and improvements
Conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform and validate design decisions
Oversee the development of design systems, style guides, and UI libraries to streamline the design process and ensure a consistent user experience
Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product design and user experience

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
7+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on digital and mobile products
Proven track record of designing and delivering successful, user-centered digital products
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design, interaction design, and visual design
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, InVision, and Figma
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Experience in agile development and design thinking methodologies is a plus
