We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The Truck Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods and materials to various destinations. This position involves long-haul and regional driving, adherence to traffic laws, and maintaining communication with dispatchers and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Transport Goods: Drive trucks to deliver goods and materials to various destinations.
Load and Unload: Assist with the loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring proper handling and securement.
Route Planning: Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries.
Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct regular vehicle inspections and maintenance. Report any issues or defects.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including the use of safety equipment.
Logistics: Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and mileage as per DOT regulations.
Customer Interaction: Communicate effectively with customers and dispatchers, providing updates and addressing any issues.
Documentation: Complete and maintain necessary paperwork, including delivery receipts and trip logs.
Qualifications:
Licensing: Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
Experience: Proven experience as a truck driver, preferably with long-haul driving.
Skills: Knowledge of traffic laws and DOT regulations, ability to operate various trucks, and excellent time-management skills.
Physical Requirements: Ability to handle the physical demands of loading/unloading cargo and long hours of driving.
Other Requirements: Clean driving record, ability to pass a drug test and background check.
