Job Overview:

Airbnb is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Experience Designer to join our Payments team for a 1-year contract position. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and refining the user experience of Airbnb's payment systems, ensuring that our customers have a seamless and intuitive experience when making transactions on our platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in user experience design, a deep understanding of payment systems, and a passion for creating delightful and frictionless user experiences.

Contract Duration: 12 months

Responsibilities:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, and data science, to understand business requirements, user needs, and opportunities for improvement in the payments experience
Develop and refine user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity design assets for Airbnb's payment systems, ensuring consistency with the overall brand and user experience
Conduct user research, usability testing, and analysis to validate design concepts and iterate on solutions based on feedback and data
Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders, gathering input and driving consensus on the direction and implementation of the payments experience
Develop and maintain design documentation, guidelines, and best practices for the payments team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in user experience design, human-computer interaction, or a related field
6+ years of experience in user experience design, with a focus on payment systems or e-commerce platforms
Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, user research methodologies, and usability testing techniques
Proficiency in design tools, such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools, such as InVision or Principle
Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
