Job Overview:
Slack is seeking a talented and motivated Staff Product Designer to join our Visual & Motion team on an internship basis. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and designing visual and motion design elements for Slack's product offerings. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in visual and motion design, excellent communication skills, and a passion for creating engaging and intuitive user experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Create and design visual and motion design elements for Slack's product offerings, ensuring consistency with Slack's brand guidelines and design standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and research, to gather requirements and deliver high-quality design solutions
- Iterate on design concepts based on user feedback and data-driven insights
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of design processes, assets, and guidelines
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to visual and motion design, incorporating new ideas and approaches as appropriate
Requirements:
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in graphic design, visual design, motion design, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of visual and motion design principles, tools, and best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Experience with design software such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, and After Effects
