Job Overview:
Starbucks is seeking a highly motivated and talented Network Engineer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining Starbucks' retail network infrastructure, ensuring that our stores are connected and have access to critical business applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of Starbucks' retail network infrastructure
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, store development, and operations, to ensure that our stores have reliable and secure network connectivity
- Perform network troubleshooting and problem resolution to ensure maximum uptime and availability of network resources
- Monitor network performance and security, identifying and addressing potential issues and vulnerabilities
- Assist in the documentation of network architecture and configurations
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in network engineering and security
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
- Basic understanding of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching
- Familiarity with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
